AT&T, the largest mobile carrier, is letting its customers make online bill payments via payment partner, BitPay. This move by AT&T makes them the first primary mobile carrier in the US to allow its customers to pay bills using Bitcoins.
This move could also have been taken by getting motivated by several online stores who already have started to accept payments in Bitcoin.
Various officials from both the companies also came ahead to make comments on the partnership between the two giant companies of their fields.
The commercial officer at BitPay Sonny Singh, said, “did a great job making this happen.”
While the Kevin McDorman, Vice President of Communications Finance Business operations at AT&T also spoke highly of the partnership and he added, “We’re always looking for ways to improve and expand our services. We have customers who use cryptocurrency, and we are happy we can offer them a way to pay their bills, with the method they prefer“.
This move by the mobile carrier giant AT&T will play a significant role in shaping the future of cryptocurrency payments in the near future.
Both the companies are keen regarding this deal, and they look forward to great possibilities from this deal.
