Users will be able to select the required wallet directly in the address bar using the Wallet Selector function.
The solution automates the process of switching between applications when exchanging tokens or transactions with dapps.
“We created Wallet Selector based on user feedback. This saves them from many problems, since they no longer need to constantly go into the settings or switch between competing wallet extensions, “explained Opera CTO Tomas Stavarts.
The feature was part of a browser update that the developers called “one of the most significant” in the history of the product.
The update has strengthened the protection of users from hacking and phishing.
Opera Crypto Browser also allowed the use of easy-to-read wallet handles, including email addresses and ENS domains.
In the information block crypto Corner there is a new section – Hot Tweets. The section includes the latest popular tweets about cryptocurrencies.
The “crypto browser” integrated the PancakeSwap DeFi application based on BNB Chain, which simplified the trading of tokens directly from the wallet.
According to the developers, the update “made Web3 a step closer to serving users familiar from Web2 on the eve of The Merge in Ethereum.”
“The upcoming merger is the most important technological update in the history of cryptocurrency, which will transfer Ethereum from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake. This will make the blockchain more scalable, secure, sustainable and ready for widespread use. Opera is the only browser really ready for this shift, offering users all the tools necessary to try out Web3 in a secure environment, “said Susie Butt, head of cryptoecosystem at Opera.
The company also updated the mobile version of Crypto Browser, which changed the navigation and added a private mode.
Recall, Opera introduced a “crypto browser” with support for bitcoin, Ethereum, Celo and Nervos networks in January. In May, BNB Chain was integrated into the application.
