The author of the collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) Nickydooodles.eth was deceived by cybervillains. The artist said that he lost all the digital assets he owned after receiving the electronic document.
According to Nickidudles, he was approached by an anonymous person with an offer of cooperation. Following this, the author received a file describing the technical aspects of the work. During the study of the document, the criminals gained access to the accounts of the wallet with virtual assets. As a result, 17.8 Ethereum (ETH) coins were stolen, which is about $ 21.1 thousand at the current rate as of June 27, 2022.
Nickidudles’ digital art collections housed in the Metabergs wallet were also stolen. Among the stolen were both a series authored by the artist NFT Doodles, and items from a personal collection – Goblintown NFT and the Sandbox Land token. The Creator tried to share what happened with the audience of his blog, but reports of fraud disappeared after publication. It turned out that access to social networks was also stolen.
Experts confirm that in recent weeks there has been an increase in the number of hacker hacks of personal accounts of NFT owners, which leads to the loss of digital lots. One of the safest ways to store virtual assets is the Ledger hardware crypto wallet with a special extension for placing non-fungible NFTevening tokens.
Earlier, the editors of the Crypto.ru reported that most experts in the crypto region agreed that the price of bitcoin is moving according to a protracted bearish trend. The rapid drop in the rate from the peak values noted in November 2021 exceeded 70%. According to analysts, such a deep drawdown has not been in the entire history of BTC trading.
