A businessman from Moscow turned to the police and said that a cryptocurrency worth 28 million rubles was stolen from him.
According to the victim, in his wallet on a USB drive were stored bitcoins for $ 460,000. Law enforcers began an investigation into this case.
As the portal LIFE.RU specifies, the entrepreneur and his wife left home to shop. When they returned, they saw that someone was in the apartment.
Criminals stole 1.5 million rubles in cash and a USB drive with BTC. Police found no signs of breaking into the apartment. They then looked at the CCTV cameras and didn’t notice anyone suspiciously.
In the course of communication with the victim, law enforcement officers found out that the bitcoins do not belong to him, but to friends living abroad. The entrepreneur himself was previously involved in a fraud case and even went to jail for a year and a half.
The investigation of this case continues, law enforcement officers have so far refrained from any comments.
In December last year, a resident of Tomsk turned to the police and stated that 75 bitcoins had been stolen from him. However, he could not explain where he got such a volume of cryptocurrency.
