Wallkanda, an NFT platform dedicated to street art and graffiti, just announced a treasure hunt using Google Maps. In addition to participating in the fun NFT treasure hunt, participants have a chance to win 0.5 ETH.
About The Google Maps Treasure Hunt
The Wallkanda team published a series of riddles on Tuesday, May 24, at 17:00 Central European Time. Each puzzle will lead participants to a specific location on Google Maps, with unique street art.
Participants must first find the artwork and then use the clues in the artwork to find the artist behind the artwork. The first participant who finds 18 artists in the correct order will receive 0.5 ETH. Other prizes, including NFT street art, will be awarded to the top 10 participants of the NFT treasure hunt.
According to Florent Tyurin, CEO of Wallkanda, “This hunt will feature works by 18 individual artists before more than 20 works are dumped en masse next week.”
To participate in this event, interested parties simply need to join The Wallkanda Discord and follow the project on Twitter (the social network is blocked in the territory of the Russian Federation, owned by Meta – the company is recognized as extremist in the territory of the Russian Federation), where a full series of riddles will be published on May 28.
Wallkanda is an evolving web3 project aimed at bridging the gap between street art and NFT. The main mission of the project is to “capture and collect these artistic manifestations in a time- and censorship-resistant way.” Overall, Wallkanda provides web3 tools to street artists, expanding the niche of street art.
Treasure hunting is just one of the many things That Wallkanda has in store. These include the NFT collection, a free mint for artists, and a community of street art lovers.
