Binance has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan. This was reported to ForkLog by representatives of the company.
The document was signed during the visit of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao to Kazakhstan, where he met with local authorities, including President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the head of the Ministry of Digital Bagdat Musin.
It is expected that as part of the agreement, Binance will advise the country on the regulation of cryptocurrencies. Also, the Ministry of Digitalization and the exchange will search for a solution “for the integration of banking infrastructure into the cryptocurrency market.”
In addition, Binance and the Ministry agreed to jointly support Astana Hub. According to Musin, the parties discussed the potential of creating a blockchain-focused venture fund and academy “to help local talent from Astana Hub go global.”
Recall that on the basis of the Astana International Financial Center, they are going to launch a pilot project for the creation and development of cryptocurrency exchanges.
