The government is in talks with U.S. blockchain company Ripple Labs Inc. to open a Corporate Service Center, given that the country is known for its favorable investment climate and stable location.
According to the report on the meeting, visits to FTX Crypto Derivatives and the Digital Market Association were also discussed.
In his speech, the Prime Minister said that the regional presence of FTX will create a favorable environment for the future of the digital asset financial market. He also added that the country is proud of a favorable investment environment and a stable economy.
It was noted that with a young, experienced and competitive human capital, Georgia is becoming a global and regional multifunctional center for financial services, technical and innovative industries. Due to its reputation and friendly business environment, Georgia has become a world leader in the ease of doing business.
The Georgian market approves of the development of its digital assets, as it is the first country to implement blockchain technology in the public sector, in particular, in land registration, which led to a 30% reduction in operating costs.
Of course, Georgia successfully uses blockchain technology. And at the same time, the country is among the developed markets, including the USA, Singapore, Denmark, Norway and the UK.
Due to its reputation and ease of doing business, the EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AA) provides citizens with new opportunities, and the government has recently applied for EU membership and is awaiting a response from the European Commission.
