Blockchain co-founder Terra called “pure coincidence” the closure of offices in South Korea before the collapse of the LUNA and UST quotes.
South Korean developer and co-founder of the Terra ecosystem Do Kwon commented on the closure of offices in Seoul and Busan. Terraform Labs – the company behind the Terra blockchain – closed its Korean offices after a shareholder meeting on April 30. The closure occurred just a few days before the collapse of two cryptocurrencies of the ecosystem – TerraUSD (UST) and LUNA.
Do Kwon commented on the situation, saying that the closure of offices at such an inopportune moment was a pure accident, and not a response to an inspection by the tax authorities.
Recall, Do Kwon also made a statement on the situation around the possible failure of the company to pay $ 80 million tax to the budget of South Korea. According to the developer, the information does not correspond to reality, and terraform has fully complied with tax obligations.
