Agents of well-known North American hockey players assured that their customers playing in Europe are experiencing huge problems with wages. They have to wait for the money to move into the international banking system and go into the accounts. Analysts assured that cryptocurrencies will be the future turn for athletes.
Agent Pat Curcio stressed that he sees a huge potential in the fact that hockey players conclude contracts that will be recorded in the blockchain and receive their salaries in cryptocurrency. According to him, the search for a bank, the transfer of money, fluctuations in the exchange rates of national currencies and the expectation of the receipt of a cross-border payment are serious problems for his customers. Recently, things have worsened due to the geopolitical situation in the world.
Curcio said that he is a co-owner of the company LOCKER Token. This firm allows players to receive salaries in cryptocurrency, which greatly simplifies and speeds up access to money. The tech company is already partnering with European hockey players Jace Havrleuk, Corey Emmerton and Justin Azevedo, as well as NHL players Tyler Seguin, Vince Dunn and Nolan Patrick.
Curcio noted that soon his firm will talk about the first partnerships with teams and, possibly, the whole European league. He assured that the problem is very serious.
For example, his client Danny Christo, who performs in Sweden, can not withdraw his salary for previous years, since his bank card is limited. Cryptocurrencies are designed to change the state of affairs.
Earlier, the editors of the Crypto.ru reported: the administration of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) launched its own product KHL.cards. Together with partners, the first collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) was issued. Sales started in September 2021 on the Binance platform
