Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) said that his trading platform is in active dialogue with financial regulators from Germany. The service wants to get the approval of regulatory authorities for the legal conduct of business. The head of the company also noted that negotiations are underway in parallel with the supervisory institutions of Spain and Italy.
Changpeng Zhao assured that he personally communicated with German regulators. He announced this during the Online Marketing Rockstars Festival (OMR) in Germany. In addition, the entrepreneur said that his organization plans to expand the staff and is looking for German-speaking staff for his team.
According to the businessman, the negotiations are taking place within the framework of the international resolution program of the exchange in the European Union. Zhao hopes for a constructive dialogue with German Finance Minister Olaf Scholz, who recently announced the government’s intention to regulate and legalize digital assets.
The co-founder of Binance noted that recently the Ministry of the European country issued a guide to the taxation of cryptocurrencies. CZ assured that it plans to popularize its platform and offered to pay attention to the progressive approach of Liechtenstein in matters of cryptocurrency regulation.
The entrepreneur also recalled that he recently met with former Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and other personalities to discuss cryptocurrencies.
Earlier, the editors of the Crypto.ru reported that the Head of Binance spoke about his attitude to sanctions against Russia. He stressed that his firm will not initiate amateur activities against ordinary citizens from the Russian Federation. At the same time, CZ noted that if international financial regulators issue relevant regulations, the exchange will be forced to take measures and impose restrictions.
