  • LUNA and UST investors are being targeted by scammers claiming their investments will return
  • One scammer has already accumulated 2.13 Ethereum (ETH) from unsuspecting members of the LUNA and UST community.
  • The Terra team announced that official announcements and updates will only be made through their Twitter account, @terra_money.

Fraudsters have found new targets among members of the LUNA and UST communities, which have been hit hard by the recent turmoil in the cryptocurrency market affecting the two digital assets. According to an analysis conducted by the SlowMist team, scammers are now preying on these investors by falsely promising to recoup their investments in LUNA and UST.

Many people are unaware that scammers are directing members of the LUNA and UST community to websites designed to steal funds and NFT . The SlowMist team also highlighted one fraudulent address on the Ethereum network that has since accumulated 2.13 ETH worth approximately $4,400.

The SlowMist team shared their findings about scammers targeting LUNA and UST investors in the following two tweets.

We also tracked down the scammer’s address to the address below👇.

Team Terra warns that official announcements will only be made through their @terra_money Twitter account

A proliferation of scams targeting the LUNA and UST communities has prompted Team Terra to announce that official announcements and updates will only be made through their Twitter handle. They said :

All updates will be posted to this Twitter account ( @terra_money ).

Any other Twitter accounts purporting to represent Terra are fake. Users are advised to be wary of scammers.

Therefore, LUNA and UST community members should not click on any tweets or websites promising anything related to these two digital assets.

Terra promised a post-mortem on everything that happened

As of this writing, the latest update, made by Terra team yesterday, May 14, at Twitter , explained that they were working on publishing a post-mortem of everything that had happened in the last week.

They also asked everyone to be safe during these “extremely difficult times for all those affected.”
