To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Manchester City’s first Premier League title and iconic moment in the 94th minute of the match (93:20), the football club is releasing its fourth NFT collection. This match with QPR (Queens Park Rangers) was a strong-willed victory when Man City, having won back in extra time, from a score of 2: 1, were able to snatch victory. The author of the football masterpiece was Sergio Aguero.
When Manchester City invited artist Musketon to join the project, he immediately agreed. He prided himself on being part of the club’s historic purpose and rich football history. He brings his unique visual art style to this NFT, playing with the essence of time to symbolize 93:20. The cover also features Puma ULTRA football boots, which Puma will release on the same day as the NFT.
There will be only 120 pairs created as a sign of respect for the goal. You can see the 93:20 graphic on the outside of the boots. In addition, the insole has the famous inscription “Aguerooooooooo!”. These Puma boots use the same color palette as the original PUMA v1.11 football boots worn by Sergio Aguero.
This is not the club’s first experience in the NFT space. Manchester City released their first collection with John Noorlander in May 2021 to mark their Premier League win. After that, they released a second collection with Alan Bolton. They then partnered with Sony Corporation to build a replica of the Etihad Stadium in the metaverse.
