The founder of Icahn Enterprises, Carl Icahn, in an interview with CNBC, warned about the impending crisis and stated about the protective properties of bitcoin against inflation.

In the past, a bitcoin skeptic has expressed concerns about the devaluation of the dollar and stated that there are high chances of an inflationary spiral unwinding due to economic stimulation.

“In the long term, financial markets will certainly run into a wall. The crisis is inevitable because of the way we print money and enter inflation. The rise in consumer prices has become all-encompassing. I do not know how you will handle it.”– said Aikan.

When asked about investing in the first cryptocurrency, the billionaire answered evasively.

“We have a lot of smart guys in our team, and we just don’t understand bitcoin. We’re not going to invest in something we don’t get […] If inflation becomes rampant, then the first cryptocurrency will have value. There are quite a few variables, it is very difficult to invest in this asset”– he explained.

Recall that in May, Karl Aikan announced planned “large-scale” investments in cryptocurrencies.
