After US President Joe Biden signed the law on raising the national debt limit to $28.9 trillion, Senator Cynthia Lummis said that bitcoin –BTC) is God’s grace.
Republican Senator Lammis delivered a speech in the Senate on Thursday, presenting her vision of how digital currencies, including bitcoin, can help countries like the United States cope with the impending crisis when the state runs out of cash.
Lammis said that one of the reasons she is so interested in digital currencies is that they are not issued by the government and therefore are not related to the debts that governments accumulate.
According to Lammis, it is for this reason that cryptocurrencies should develop, allowing people to make savings in the event of a failed government policy.:
Presidents of both parties have repeatedly irresponsibly increased debts without having any plans to eliminate it. So thank God for bitcoin and another non-fiat currency that surpasses the irresponsibility of governments, including our own.

On Thursday, US President Biden officially signed into law a temporary increase in the government borrowing limit, pushing the default deadline to December of this year. The legislation will expand the debt ceiling by $480 billion from the current government debt of $28.4 trillion.
A Republican from Wyoming, Lammis has become one of the main supporters of bitcoin in the US Senate. She is known for having accumulated a significant amount of bitcoins, and one of the last BTC purchases was made in the amount of $50,001 to $100,000.
In February, Lammis held a Financial Innovation Forum to familiarize fellow legislators with bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Earlier this year, she joined a flash mob with laser eyes on Twitter, predicting that bitcoin will reach $100,000 by the end of 2021.
